Embarking from the exotic Silk Road oasis of Kashgar, we trek from the verges of the Taklamakan Desert into the remote watershed of the eastern Karakorum. During this epic expedition, we trek over high passes and ford rivers on camelback.

Elevation and amazement mount as we peregrinate from peaceful green valleys in the "Land of the Thunder Dragon" to the raucous flurry of Kathmandu and the austere heights of enigmatic Tibet. This is a cultural sampler sewn into the seams of the Himalaya.
